Training Webinar: Organizing Your Business Foundation
Presented by Janet Fishman, HOPE Organizers
Your head can spin when you start a business as to the many legal, licensing, insurance, marketing, financial, bookkeeping, tax, organizing, and more aspects you need to set up. Having the proper groundwork will secure your ability to run and grow your business. This talk will introduce you to organizing that strong foundation as you launch your business.
Janet Fishman, J.D., came to organizing as a second career in her life. She worked in the legal field as a corporate trainer of computerized legal research for over 25 years while raising four children as a single mother (triplets + 1). Due to a company merger, Janet was displaced and was unclear what direction to go in when she discovered NAPO and the field of organizing. She took her years of business experience, her legal training, and her organizing skills and parlayed her knowledge into her own business, HOPE Organizers, Inc. She specializes in paper organizing and management. She serves her clients as a combination of organizer and daily money manager She absolutely loves sorting through tons of paper, employing retention guidelines, creating filing systems, calling companies to ascertain the existence of accounts, and advocating for her clients when she finds fraud on credit card statements or unclaimed property. In addition to being a member of NAPO for 10 years, she is also a member of AADMM-the American Association of Daily Money Managers, ICD-the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, and The Photo Managers. Janet had a small photography business for many years, finding her niche in production stills for theater companies. After 20+ years of photographing, she hung her camera up a couple of years ago to focus solely on her organizing business. It was due to her interest in photography, that she began to organize photos. With the experience of starting three of her own businesses as well as organizing the foundational aspects of her clients’ businesses, she expanded her company to include coaching of new entrepreneurs who want to properly organize the groundwork of their businesses so that they can properly grow.
