Paul, maybe I’m doing something wrong, but how are you getting non-Apple apps to recognize the metadata in the XMP sidecar files as applying (and hopefully embedded) into it’s JPEG pair? I know that Apple Photos exports the XMP sidecar files, but that’s pretty unconventional for a JPEG, and the only app I get can to recognize the XMP file for pairing with the JPEG is Apple Photos. If I open, import, or browse to a file with Apple Preview, Adobe Bridge, and Adobe Lightroom Classic none of the sidecar metadata is recognized.
