Hello! My name is Cecília Newitt and I´m from Brazil. I´m very happy to be joining the Photo Managers´community!!
I´m married to a Scotsman and I am a mother of two. Currently, we live in Brazil but we are about to move abroad next year.
Before diving into the organization world a year ago, I worked for 19 years in the aviation industry always dedicated to customer care and administrating contracts. For 6 years (2010-2016) in this industry I had the opportunity to work administrating contracts for private jet customers, delivering aircraft to them, which meant I had contact with customers from the luxury market around the world understanding very well their expectations in respect to customer care.
In 2012 I attended a Disney course in Florida – entitled “Quality Service” – which allowed me to apply some of Disney´s well known concepts to the aircraft delivery process and became a reference in the team in terms of process improvement and customer satisfaction.
I´m a photo enthusiast and always value the importance of preserving memories. My mum passed away when I was 4 yeas old, and I have to say that my first photo organization I did when I was 18 years old, back in the 90´s, was when my dad gave to me a box full of old photos. That was a great experience at that time and very emotional. Nowadays, I can just get the album and tell my kids and friends all about my story and my mum´s.
As a mother of two that were born when the smart phones became our new cameras, I understand that if I don´t preserve their photos now then their story will be lost and they will not be able to tell it to their kids and friends when they are older. I truly believe that memories need to be preserved and organized.
I really think that my skills for organization plus being a photo enthusiast plus having the wish to help people to organize their memories are a good combination to set up a photo organization business.
