Meet the Team
Cathi Nelson, Founder & CEO
Cathi fell in love with photography in high school as the photo editor of her school yearbook. She soon found herself working two jobs to save up to buy her first professional camera. From that day on, Cathi became the photo historian of her family and friends.
When her adopted son was placed in her arms years later, Cathi developed a passion for creating life book photo albums that she used to tell his personal story and how he came to be part of their family. She soon found herself sharing this passion with others and built a profitable business teaching others to do the same.
In 2009, she founded The Photo Managers – the world’s leading educational community in the rapidly growing field of photo management. The Photo Managers serve Photo Management Professionals around the world, thousands of do-it-yourselfers, and legions of people who want to hire certified professionals to help manage their photos and family heirlooms.
As the author of the bestselling book, Photo Organizing Made Easy: Going from Overwhelmed to Overjoyed and two online courses, Printed Photo Organizing Made Easy and Digital Photo Organizing Made Easy, Cathi remains firmly rooted in her vision to empower others to use visual storytelling as a means of preserving and sharing their personal life journeys.
Kate Jacus is the founder of The Photo Curator, LLC and the Marketing Coordinator for Archival Methods (a TPM Partner). Her love of organizing and expertise in archival storage stems from her 13-year career in the museum world. Now an experienced photo manager, she loves connecting with new members and working on special projects for The Photo Managers.
Isabelle is a tech VA who helps online course creators and membership communities set up and manage their backend tech, systems, and automations to run their business more smoothly. She joined The Photo Managers team in 2019 to help oversee our online learning community, The Photo Managers Academy, and to assist Cathi with behind-the-scenes tech implementation.
The VA Couple
Rebecca and Amadeus are a husband and wife Virtual Assistant team from British Columbia, Canada. As The VA Couple, they provide support services to busy entrepreneurs. They joined The Photo Managers team in 2019 to assist Cathi in caring for the needs of the Members and Partners. Rebecca and Amadeus are the faces behind the emails at email@example.com, and also assist with administrative projects, new member support, and online event management.
The Small Business Collective
Annisa Teich and her team at The Small Businesses Collective provide transformative marketing and business development solutions and tools to small businesses. SBC joined The Photo Managers team in 2020 to provide strategic marketing initiatives to support brand and member growth.
Triple Frog LLC
In 2019 Matt Boucher of Triple Frog LLC joined the team to build a highly responsive and fully functional website for both the public and The Photo Managers membership community. Triple Frog LLC continues to host and maintain thephotomanagers.com providing all our users with a fun, informative, and secure online experience.
