We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for Regional Leaders! If you’re passionate about building community and supporting fellow members of The Photo Managers, we’d love for you to consider stepping into this important leadership role.
We are currently seeking Regional Leaders for the following regions:
- Southeast Region (seeking 2 new co-leaders)
- Southwest Region (seeking 1 new leader to join Candie)
- Midwest Region (seeking 1 new leader to join Beth)
- Four Corners Region (seeking 1 new leader to join Angie)
- Pacific Coast Region (seeking 1 new leader to join Kim)
- Northwest Region (seeking 1 new leader to join Tammy)
- Canada Region (seeking 1 new leader to join Kate)
Applications are now open through May 30th, and new leaders will be announced by June 4th and will take over the role on July 1st.
By becoming a regional leader, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Shape the direction of your regional group and create engaging experiences for members.
- Foster connections and build a sense of community among members in your region.
- Gain leadership experience and make a tangible impact on our association.
Leader Responsibilities:
1) Keeping the Regional Group page on the membership site updated and relevant.
2) Facilitating a minimum of 6 connection meetings (Zoom or in-person) over the course of a year, although most groups meet monthly.
3) Welcoming new members from your region when they join via a personal email and inviting them to Zoom meetings and regional Facebook groups if one exists.
4) Connect with Industry Partners and invite them to join as guest speakers.
The Photo Managers Support
1) We will facilitate an orientation call with selected regional leaders, and provide an onboarding roadmap and templates/resources provided by former regional leaders.
2) We will offer financial and other support for tables/donations for trade shows or regional events that promote membership to The Photo Managers – this could include books, booth payment, advertising support etc. This will be on a case-by-case basis.
3) If the region is interested, TPM will set up the Facebook Members Groups by region and make the leaders the administrators. The goal isn’t to replace the Member page but allow people to connect locally.
4) The Photo Managers will reach out on your behalf to any identified potential partners to help support regional connections.
Time commitment: We are seeking Regional Leaders willing to commit to a two-year term starting July 1, 2025 to July 1, 2027. The time commitment should not exceed 3 – 4 hours a month.
Purpose: To give members within countries, states/regions a chance to meet and connect plus provide opportunities to share work with one another based on areas of expertise and interest.
Stipend: As our way of thanking you for your time, you will receive a 50% discount on attendance for all virtual events, a 40% discount on new TPM Academy courses, and a 20% discount for the in-person conference.
